Agree with your thinking and like the way you have outlined it. There's a fundamental disconnect between the portrayal of the state of affairs in the media and the reality that we are experiencing down beneath the melamine.
Beautifully put into words. For some of us it was a slap in the face from a higher power, one I could not refute. For others maybe a sense of “something more”. Turn off the noise and listen. In France this last year over 10,000 people joined the Catholic Church (just converts). More than at any time in France’s history. I know it feels like a cop out, that reaching for God feels like you’re giving up trying to understand, saying, “ I don’t know therefore God.” But if you’re aware and ignore the noise, you might just hear or experience something, though subjective, undeniable. I was an atheist apologist, scientist etc. and through an encounter with intelligent “evil” and seeing myself the power of the words “Jesus Christ” I feel a loss of that feeling replaced by hope. I personally believe artificial general intelligence will be our great filter, not in a “Matrix” way but in the fruition of the Great Lie we are succumbing to. Who says the Antichrist must be human? And I believe we’re being called back. “There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio…”. Blessings to you all.
Something is shifting - and most of us can feel it.

Our world goes flying by,
way too fast…
Our brains cannot absorb,
information swiftly enough…
Our mind understands something is wrong…
not realizing that life is moving,
at an accelerated pace…

The caudate nucleus and putamen and the basal ganglia.
The caudate nucleus and putamen are closely related subcortical structures forming the dorsal striatum, a key component of the basal ganglia.
The caudate plays a major role in executive functions, including goal-directed action, working memory, learning, and decision-making. It is crucial for selecting appropriate behavioral responses based on changing goals and outcomes, supporting adaptive and flexible behavior.
The putamen is best known for its role in facilitating and regulating movement. It is heavily involved in motor planning, preparation, initiation, execution, and the selection of specific motor programs. It helps facilitate desired movements while inhibiting unwanted or competing ones.
The putamen is crucial for stimulus-response or habit learning, supporting the automatic performance of well-learned motor sequences (procedural memory). It is involved in reinforcement learning (modifying behavior based on rewards and punishments) and implicit learning (acquiring knowledge through exposure without conscious awareness)
I have come to the conclusion that without the timely relevant input of the caudate and putamen our mind, on some level realizes that we are vulnerable. We have to remember that our mind heavily filters incoming data in order not to overload our perceptual circuitry leaving us vulnerable.

Thanks for putting that into words for me.

Well, Nick, this is possibly one of your most important and relevant posts. Note the amount of likes it received. 🙂
Thanks, Marek. It seems to have tapped some kind of zeitgeist, yes …
